Design Changes & Advantages of the New XV3 Chassis
With years of development, the Henchcraft XV3 chassis is one of the most advanced, safest chassis available on the market.
Our latest improvements include:
- Longer front pan hard rod: Moves front roll center to the right for added stability.
- Longer RF torsion bar: Decreases RF static weight and Increases RF wheel rate. Improves RF stability and increased weight transfer to LR on corner exit.
- More offset in LF torsion tube to right: Increases LF static weight and decreases LF wheel rate. This improves corner entry and increases LR weight transfer on corner exit.
- LF shock is relocated outboard of the torsion bar, closer to LF tire: This gives the LF shock more control of chassis roll and weight transfer to RR. Helps reduce porpoise effect during transition from corner entry to apex.
- Longer RR torsion bar: Decreases RR static weight and Increases RR wheel rate. This increases RR stability, improves corner entry and forward drive on corner exit.
- Rear pan hard bar: Moves rear roll center farther to the right for added stability. Adds a significant new chassis tuning option by raising or lowering the roll center.
- New body side panel design: Improves air circulation for additional cooling.
- New larger cross flow radiator: Larger capacity and more efficient design improves engine cooling.
- New radiator mounting channels: Creates more room for increased radiator capacity and eliminates rigid mounting flanges that are susceptible to breaking.
- Optional cage side visors: Improves aero around the driver and roll cage with a sleek look.
